There are times when I've had an idea in my head for years before putting cutter to glass. Stained glass involves time and patience. Every panel is a new experiences; an obstacle you didn't see coming and the joy of figuring it out. You learn something new each time.
It feels like I am working with rubies, sapphires and emeralds. The glass is so beautiful. All the many colors and textures, it creates an emotional connection between the artist and medium.
Stained glass is chemically considered a liquid. When it gets to 1400 to 1600 degrees C, it transforms into a liquid state.
