My paintings are like a meditative spiritual practice for me because it’s how I feel the most grounded and connected. Although my work is now more honed in on mixed media painting and drawing, the pull I feel to the natural world is still what excites me the most and what I focus on in my work.
I draw so much of my inspiration from nature. I work primarily in watercolor which I feel allows me to fully express the subtle nuances that exist in the natural world. I have always felt inspired by the beauty of flowers. Flora and the natural world represents beauty, life, femininity, and sensuality.
All of my paintings are named after women who have inspired me.
