My Process

I create handthrown, functional stoneware pottery. I'm a wheelthrower of midrange clay and fire in an electric kiln. I use carving, texture, glaze design and/or alterations on my pieces to enhance surface design. My pieces are all foodsafe and meant to be used. Everything must have purpose!

My Inspiration

Last August I was privileged to attend a week long workshop with master functional potter, Sarah Wells Rolland in Asheville. I continue to reap the benefits of her holistic approach to teaching "Throwing With Finesse".

Fun Facts

I was honored and thrilled that my pottery won a second place prize award at the New Hope Arts & Craft Show last September.
