My Process

I use acrylic paint, inspired by nature in everything I create. I love using a lot of color and bold brushstrokes in my work to bring my subjects to life. I mostly paint florals but I also enjoy painting landscapes I've been inspired by. I use a lot of reference photos for my paintings/compositions.

My Inspiration

I am inspired by nature and the soothing, harmonious color palettes and delicate details of the natural world. I try to see these colors as they are while focusing on the way they make me feel. My goal is to allow the viewer to feel the same appreciation for nature I felt when creating the work.

Fun Facts

I paint mainly from photos because this is the best way for me to create a composition. For a floral painting, I will spend hours arranging bouquets and taking hundreds of photos, and then I'll often use Photoshop to combine several photos until I'm ready to start painting.
