I create unique pieces of jewelry using both electric an acoustic guitar strings in combination with various beads and findings that pair welll with the strings. The beads are attached to the strings that are then braided or layered to complement each design. Finished off with an easy-to-use clasp.
I am inspired by the unexpected use of various materials. I always enjoyed jewelry made from silver wear, lamps made from pipes or musical instruments, etc. The wound wires that make guitar strings are a perfect medium to create art/jewelry that adds and unexpected and fun twist to each piece.
I noticed the beauty of guitar strings when I was trying to learn how to play the guitar. I immediately diverted my creative energy to making jewelry and abandoned my musical pursuits.
