I am an art teacher & potter from Newtown PA. I throw pottery using stoneware & porcelain. My work is dishwasher and microwave safe. I experiment with glazes & an underglaze collage technique that is unique to my work. I also use a collection of vintage molds to create porcelain ornaments.
Words and life stories are the inspiration behind my work. Each piece is made intentionally, with love. Sometimes to inspire and sometimes to calm. My work is an experience for the eyes and to the touch. Each piece is carefully crafted so you can enjoy holding it as much as you enjoy looking at it!
Each year I create "word of the year" pieces as gratitude gifts for colleagues and friends. Each year the design changes and it has a special story or message that also incorporates a personalized word from each recipient. This collection is my favorite project and I have been doing it for 7 years.
