I handbuild and wheelthrow several different porcelain and stoneware clay bodies, and employ a variety of different surface design techniques to apply city rowhouse imagery to my work. I especially enjoy incorporating traditional printmaking techniques into my ceramic work.
I have long been inspired by the unique architecture and composition of cities. I currently work out of my home studio in Philadelphia and draw much of my inspiration from the city where I live.
All of the houses featured in my work are based on real rowhouses in the Philadelphia region!
