In my woodworking shop, I look for creative combinations of quirky art/prints (most original art) and create professional yardstick frames. For example, a typical yardstick frame takes roughly 3 hours to make through each step of the process. Complex boxes can take 2 days or more.
My wife and I have been selling antiques for more than 30 years now. She has an incredible design eye and is a constant source of innovative ideas. We are always bouncing concepts for my art off one another.
I love the hunt for vintage yardsticks. I have to admit it has become quite the disease! :). I love the joy the attendees of the juried shows experience. I get to have such wonderful conversations, and of course, have come up with many ways to answer: "Where do you get all your yardsticks?".
