A variety of traditional metalsmithing techniques are used to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. Vintage and antique materials are upcycled by altering their form and use. Materials include vintage flatware, typewriter keys, hardware, China dishes, and buttons, which are transformed into wearable art.
Antique and vintage items are the inspiration for my jewelry. Antiques evoke emotions...nostalgia, mystery, and a connection to history. That emotional depth helps to make my jewelry more an accessory. My pieces become a wearable narrative, rooted in culture and memory.
Customers are often able to find nostalgic patterns in my pieces, reminiscent of their childhood or family heirlooms.
