Process

My work is functional, high fire ceramics in stoneware and porcelain. I throw in my home studio and I am a guild member at Cheltenham Center for the Arts, where I have been exploring our cone 10 studio glazes for 10 years. Innovative glaze applications and interactions are what set my work apart.

Inspiration

I'm motivated to create art that invites a special moment in an ordinary day. My functional work is food-safe, microwavable, dishwasher safe, highly decorated, lightweight and intended to feel perfect in the hand. Made to be admired and ergonomic, my work brings color, pattern and art to everyday.

Fun Facts

Although I do enjoy the slow process of ceramics, my favorite part is sharing the finished work with someone who picks out the perfect piece to fit into their life (or as a gift). I've been selling work at shows for 6 years and love discussing my process and intent with ceramics lovers.
