Wood

My Process

I paint each flower using a variety of techniques (dyeing, hand-painting, and airbrushing). The color is created with a blend of acrylic paint and a small amount of plant-based glycerin, which softens the flower petals. The flowers are stemmed and arranged using variety of faux & preserved greenery.

My Inspiration

I draw inspiration from nature and strive to mimic the realistic look of fresh flower blooms. However, the fun part of wood flowers is the possibilities for color are endless! The business is named after my daughter Delilah, after I discovered a large pink and yellow dahlia with the same name.

Fun Facts

Wood flowers last forever! They don't require water, and they will never wilt or dye. They make a beautiful alternative to fresh flowers for weddings in particular, because the couple can keep their flowers forever as a special memento.
