Each piece I create is handcrafted from scratch, beginning with just sheet metal and wire, individually created using traditional metalsmithing techniques including cutting some of my own opals. I don't do casting, 3D printing, electroforming, or glue. My pieces are heirlooms to be worn generations.
I'm incredibly inspired by the gemstones I use in my work. These days, I use a lot of Australian opals, and with each one being a unique piece, I let them be the "star of the show" for each piece of jewelry, designing specifically for the gemstone instead of letting the gemstone be an afterthought.
My work has been featured on RioGrande.com's social media (world's leader in jewelry making supplies), as well as Intergem and in local publications.
