Process

I create my work by first making a design on the computer. I then use a program to break the design into individual pieces and/or manipulate the parts to create a three-dimensional effect. Once the design is created, I laser cut each layer, assemble them by hand, and mat and frame the artwork.

Inspiration

11th through 19th century geometric and ornamental designs from civilizations around the globe.

Fun Facts

Much of my inspiration comes from out of print, digitized books of ancient designs and architecture.
