Process

Jenny Alexander from The Painted Lily creates a line of stone drink coasters inspired by vintage imagery. Her original poetry compliments perfectly, pulling from themes of resilience and growth, each piece hand typed on vintage typewriters that she rescues from second-hand stores and restores.

Inspiration

Antique and vintage imagery… old wallpaper patterns, advertisements, antique book covers. My poetry line is inspired by loss and the resilience required to continue on in the face of life-changing loss.

Fun Facts

As an art lover, it is exciting that I get to work with art museums around the country, pulling images from their archives to create collections for them. Receiving museum quality scans of Monet masterpieces was a highlight. I could zoom in and see every brush stroke. Absolutely a career highlight.
