Process

I’m a plein air landscape painter working in oils, drawn to quiet fields, back roads, and overlooked everyday places. Painting outdoors allows me to respond to shifting light, color, and atmosphere, using expressive brushwork to convey a sense of place and time.

Inspiration

My inspiration comes from slowing down and truly paying attention. Working outdoors, I engage with subtle changes in light, color, and atmosphere, uncovering meaning and calm within familiar landscapes we often pass without noticing.

Fun Facts

I’m a longtime admirer of panda bears and their relaxed, thoughtful nature. They are calm, observant, and unhurried in the way they move through the world, and this quietly influences how I approach my work, encouraging patience, attention, and openness while painting on location.
