Process

I work in a Pyrography medium where I burn my work into pieces of wood, usually 2-D slabs. I use various techniques of burning from a fine tip burning tool, electricity, to a blow torch. I also include carving aspects and finish my work with painting techniques using wood stain, acrylic and oils.

Inspiration

My inspiration primarily comes from skeletal structures where a creature cannot hide its true nature once all masks and coverings are taken away. I am also greatly inspired by the organic texture of the wood that I work on itself.

Fun Facts

I am greatly inspired by my dog Asher in my work with animals.
