Process

I make functional wheel thrown pottery with a rustic aesthetic. I focus on practical designs so my art can be used in daily life. I formulate my own glazes and use layers to add movement and interest to the surface, and incorporate carved and unglazed areas to show the color and texture of the clay.

Inspiration

I am inspired by my Greek heritage, and often use traditional carved designs such as the Greek key, and a predominantly blue and white glaze pallet. Functionality is also important to me, I always think about how my pots will be used in daily life.

Fun Facts

My favorite thing to make is mugs! I love that I can make them all a little different, and that they will play a big role in someone's morning routine.
