I started painting in 1994. My medium of choice is acrylic and fiber paste. I do not use brushes, I prefer to use sponges, spackle knives, and metal plates. In my paintings I use copper, silver and gold tones that allow me to capture different effects of lights and shadows.
Growing up in Baku, one of the oldest cities in the Middle East, I developed a love and admiration for the breathtaking ancient architecture. I aim to capture the image of places and textures by combining the free flow of the medium with concrete shapes and forms.
I do not use brushes. All artwork is done by using sponges, spackle knives, metal plates and found objects.
