Various techniques are used to bend, shape and weld scrap metal, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum into abstract or unique shapes. This allows me to use material with an assortment of textures and shapes and gives the material a new life.
I have learned to look at a piece of material and in addition to seeing it for what it was, seeing what it could become. I believe that is a primary goal of art. To look past the surface of not just a piece of art, but also another person, and see not just what they are, but seeing their potential.
My work has been on display in several city settings and centers.
