Members of Fleming Studios throw and hand build ceramic pottery and sculptures. Functional stoneware and porcelain mugs, bowls, platters as well as decorative vessels, wall pieces and garden sculptures are made using a variety of different firing processes using raku, saggar and oxidation kilns.
Form and function unite to create beautiful ceramic pieces that reflect the shapes, linear patterns, color palette and textures found in nature. We aim to have our bowls, dishes, teapots and plates used every day as food is served to families.
Our group is highly motivated to exhibit at the Doylestown Arts Festival every year no matter what the weather may bring. We have laughed out loud while our clothes are dripping wet and our pottery is filled with rain water. The joy of making pottery brings a smile every time we are together.
