Talufane is a collection of original paintings, printed tapestries, and handmade treasures. Phoebe’s work is inspired by stories – myths, legends, old epic sagas, and tales that she dreams up while painting. She hopes her offerings spark recollections of quiet forest paths, both real and imagined.
I like painting enchanted lands, collecting bits of nature to fill glass jars, screen printing textiles, and hand stitching the clothes that I wear. For me, being an artist means that the world around me holds infinite possibilities for how it can shape me, and how I can shape it.
My preferred canvas is old, hand-loomed, vintage linen. It has a timeworn feel that I love, and it also complements the theme of my work.
