I paint with acrylic on canvas and wood. My main themes are floral and abstract, but sometimes I paint in the world of whimsical figures. I like to start with a blank canvas, music of the world in the background. I follow my muse usually completing a painting in one studio session.
My father was a African Showman in London. My abstract paintings often have the colors of his African regalia. The floral paintings come from my emersion in the English tradition of floral painting. My art instructors at St Martin in the Fields School insisted on perfect petals.
I can enter the world of whimsical figures. If one looks closely, wonkie figures can be seen in some of my abstract paintings.
