My paintings are existential searches; I’m driven to create but haven’t found what I seek. While searching, I focus on technical skill. Subject matter entirely depends on the moment I start. Some are plein air paintings, other more abstract. It is a balance of play and growth in my skill.
Poem: "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley. This poem encapsulates my drive; how everything that exists is utter chance, and how humans attempt to claim existence throughout. We create and organize based entirely on our own volition, trying to find our place is the cosmos.
My dreamscapes series is based off of dreams I have had, some are recurring and others are not!
