I've been drawing daily since January 1st, 2016. For the past ten years, I've made it a nightly routine to create in small watercolor sketchbooks, each measuring 5.5 x 3.5 inches. I began by focusing on mother-daughter themes, then shifted to patterns for a year, and now I primarily draw girls.
My daughter was, and is, my main source of inspiration. I find creativity in the simplest things—whether it's a flower, a pattern, a cherished memory, or even my mom. I experiment with a variety of materials, like crayons, alcohol markers, colored pencils, ink, and more, usually on watercolor paper.
In 2016, I was featured by Instagram on Mother's Day and later completed Celebrating Motherhood, a project of 1,000 daily mother-daughter drawings. A decade later, I'm revisiting 365 of those drawings to reflect on how my style, tools, and materials have evolved over the years.
