At Two Cents Forge, we offer hand crafted custom ironwork pieces, creating everything from artist inspired pieces to household items we use every day. We utilize modern technology combined with traditional smithing techniques to bring these hand crafted, one of a kind pieces to life.
Every where you look you will see blacksmithing. Whether it's a railing, sign or simple hook. Creativity and ingenuity was used to make a useful and aesthetic piece. The problem solving to make pieces and the "how did they do that" comments inspire me as much as the rich history of the craft.
Blacksmithing is fascinating because we take an inanimate, cold object and add heat + force to create something new. It's been done for 1000s of years. When I demonstrate forging hot steel for visitors at my smithy, the ohh's & ahh's and the questions/conversations that follow are always enjoyed.
