Blue Fox Studio creates hand-dyed Shibori accessories and home goods. I create scarves, wraps, home goods, Kimonos, tunics, custom shirts and baby clothes/accessories. Shibori is an ancient Japanese hand-dyeing technique using Indigo. Variations are a natural result, so each piece is one-of-a-kind!
The patterns of Shibori delight me! I create both traditional and novel designs using Shibori methods. The combination of control and surprise in both the pattern creation and the dye process keeps me experimenting. I also love the challenges of custom orders and creating new products.
Indigo is the only natural blue dye in the world and, surprisingly, the blue color comes from the green leaves, not the flowers!
