Rooted in the study of ancient jewelry across my origin countries, I blend these influences at the bench into pieces with an ancient vibe and modern spirit. Designs are realized in metal and stone through forging, chasing, soldering, stone setting, and bead work.
My design inspiration is rooted in my African and Italian heritage. The materials themselves also guide me; each stone or bead must spark something in me. The women who wear my work, especially longtime collectors, continue to shape and inspire each piece.
I’ve developed a vintage tool obsession—especially hammers. It started with my dad’s old work hammers for forging, then grew to wooden mallets and cross peens. Add his iron punches and a railroad track for an anvil, and you get textures no new tools can replicate.
