Process

Handbuilt artworks in stoneware clay, rendered through impressed and incised textures, largely tiles and framed wall pieces. Images are finished using a combination of glaze, underglaze and post-firing pigmentation.

Inspiration

My work is inspired by nature, landscape, plants and trees. These subjects are interpreted through the influence of Asian, Celtic, and numerous other Art Historical styles.

Fun Facts

Over 50 years, my work has evolved through shifts in style, chosen medium and technical approach - yet has remained remarkably consistent and recognizable.
