Inspired by life-long daily encounters with humans, animals, nature, reading, and cultural experiences. Also by Fairy Tales read as a small child. Other ideas come from dreams, or doodling when I am on the phone. Most visual encounters leave some subconscious imprint, which may influence the work.
not funny, just an interesting fact - I repousse my metal figures, and out of curiosity, one day I was counting the hammer strikes to make one small figure - it came to 1650 hammer strikes. I also need to file the edges - that was over 1200 strikes. I thought that was quite an impressive number.
